Not only does solid bodywash use less packaging and require less water to produce, they are also one of the easiest eco swaps to make. Like all Ethique products, these soaps are made of biodegradable, sustainably sourced, naturally-derived and palm oil free ingredients. Does this impact the effectiveness of the wash? No way! These bars are still deliciously bubbly and non-drying and we just know you’ll love them.

Lime & Ginger
A crowd favourite, with natual Lime and Ginger oils, it's citrus-y without being too sweet with a bit of spice.
Sweet Orange & Vanilla
This one is for those of you with a sweet tooth. Vanilla is creamy, sweet and delicious, with a hit of sweet orange oil to lighten it up, but never overpower it.
Lavender & Peppermint
Lavender without the overly floral note as the Peppermint livens it all up a little, without being too overpowering. Delicious!
Looking after your Bar
To keep your bar in top form – so you get more showers out if it – you only need to do one thing: keep it dry. When your bar is dry it’ll last longer, stay tidy, and be easier to use. It’s a good idea to find a spot in your shower that’s well away from the stream, or take your bars out of the shower altogether. Choose a storage container that will let water drain away and lets air circulate.

Brianne is the founder and CEO. She started developing formulas in her kitchen at her Christchurch home in 2012 and founded Ethique out of her frustration with the murky supply chains and the amount of waste produced by the cosmetics industry. A qualified biochemist, Brianne works alongside the formulation team to create products and runs the show. Ethique ingredients are chosen with care: they must not have any health risks associated with their use, they must be sustainably produced and biodegradable, they must be plant-based and cruelty-free, and they must be free of palm oil and palm oil derivatives. Ethique has direct trade partnerships in place for many ingredients, including coconut oil which is sourced from a Women’s Cooperative in Samoa. Many ingredients are sourced from peels or seeds that are a by-product of various industries – such as lime, mandarin, or orange oils from the juice industry – making use of a product that would otherwise go to waste.
